Golf on board superyachts

Now it is a lot more convenient and exciting to hone your swing and fine-tune your technique in the favourite game of the business elite, political leaders and show business stars – right on board 

Modern superyachts allow their owners and their guests not to give up their usual lifestyle and retain all the components of their regular life on shore: offices, gyms, swimming pools, spa and beauty salons, cinemas, cars... and their favorite golf clubs. 

Off the Deck has developed the world’s first portable superyacht golf simulator SeaDrive CX, while FunAir supplemented this miracle machine with floating Yacht Golf greens with genuine flags and eco-friendly biodegradable golf balls that dissolve in the water within 96 hours. There is a solution for those who prefer ordinary golf balls, too: inflatable “goals” of different modifications with fast-drying nets and a smart system that returns the balls to the golfer. 

Thanks to the integrated camera, cutting-edge monitoring and data analytics technologies, SeaDrive CX allows the guests to have friendly competitions, to fine-tune their movements based on the immediate feedback, to learn something new and even to simulate a game on one the world’s iconic courses – from the sun-drenched Pebble Beach to the good old St Andrews.  

By the way, the “model” demonstrating these latest solutions is the 67.5-metre Loon superyacht by Dutch Icon Yachts, which takes part in the Monaco Yacht Show as a charter vessel. 

The all-carbon lightweight portable simulator is resistant to moisture, salt and high temperatures and is equipped with deck lights, so the users can literally tee off round the clock. 

Today, a special golf hitting mat is most often used on board, but there are also podium-like raised tees like the one on board the Sunrays (Oceanco), or retractable tees appearing at a touch of a button that can be found on board the Lucky Lady (Oceanco). 

Moreover, there is even a sophisticated gyroscopic version from the British company named Zen Green Stage, which is self-levelling and capable of recreating natural slopes. 

Apart from golf, SeaDrive CX can offer the guests a game of darts, bowling or a shooting range. And in addition to all kinds of accessories for playing golf and various inflatable slides for yachts that we have told you about earlier, FunAir has brought whole sport complexes and beach furniture to Monaco.
