Interior design: Apostles Molindris & Associates

The most remarkable of the three grand pianos on board the superyacht that once belonged to Aristotle Onassis, is the one standing in the Callas Lounge. It’s a Steinway that was ordered especially for Maria Callas and for the yacht that she was so fond of.

Interior design: Nuvolari Lenard

A classic Steinway stands on one of the most luxurious Lürssens capable of accommodating up to 16 guests. It makes the saloon look solemn, spacious and definitely main, although in fact it is the upper one and is more of the owner’s apartment.

Interior design: Salvagni Architetti

The yacht that was ahead of its time in so many ways still amazes people with her elegance and thoughtfulness. The Steinway & Sons grand piano fits into the vibrant environment in the style of 1930-40s, blending perfectly with the furniture meticulously selected by Italian architect and designer Achille Salvagni.

5. Vitters Marie, 55 m, 2010

Interior design: David Easton

This is a rare case, when a grand piano sits on board a sailing, not a motor yacht. Moreover, it is a sailing yacht, racing in the Caribbean. A compact Steinway decorates the main saloon, designed by legendary classicist David Easton.

The interior of the famous Kismet is unlikely to be forgotten – just like the grand piano in the centre of the main deck. This futuristic British Goldfinch Baby Piano was created in collaboration with Based Upon art-studio and can also serve as a bar.

9. Amels Here comes the Sun, 83 m, 2017

Interior design: Winch design

This German Bechstein as part of the impeccable interior of the flagship of the Dutch Amels shipyard is an example of a different kind of piano classics. The instrument stands on the main deck and definitely looks relevant here.

10. VSY Sealyon, 62 m, 2009

Interior design: Candy & Candy

The transparent Schimmel fits into the incredibly bright and modern interior of the yacht perfectly. One could see Lenny Krawitz and other stars playing similar instruments. And yes – a classical instrument does not have to be black and strict.
