Vommuli Island

The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort is a perfect spot for those who dream of living by the ocean: white-sand beaches, azure water, coconut palm trees and a colorful coral reef with the fish that look like Finding Nemo characters

The history of the St. Regis brand began in 1904, when John Jacob Astor IV founded the first hotel in New York City, offering an unprecedented level of service for the time, including butler service for every room, telephones in all rooms and elevators.

For over a century the brand has been associated with impeccable service. The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort’s design drew inspiration on four different natural areas of the island: lagoon, beach, jungle and coastal. Each of them found reflection in the architecture. Thus, Whale Bar looks like a whale shark, and the lines of the library imitate a spiral shell.

Instead of traditional bungalows with straw roofs, there are overwater villas that look like manta rays and are built mainly of wood. The central building, the Vommuli House, is based on a Banyan tree and looks like a natural element of the landscape.

To feel the spirit of the brand, one can stay in a luxurious two-level Caroline Astor Estate with a private beach, named after John Jacob Astor’s mother, who was a famous American socialite.

The iconic two-level overwater villa, John Jacob Astor Estate, featuring three exquisitely designed bedrooms and panoramic ocean views, is dedicated to the founder of The St.Regis John Jacob Astor IV. It is the largest three-bedroom overwater villa in the Maldives that boasts the area of 1,540 sq.m with a private infinity pool viewing the ocean, a private beach, a spa area, a cinema and a fitness center.

One of the most popular attractions here is the hotel's luxury yacht Norma. This 66-foot vessel is perfect for a day ride or a romantic evening cruise under the stars.
