Arcadia A80
About Arcadia A80
Despite the compact size, the A80 is a resort yacht, allowing her owners and guests to get the most out of their holidays on the water and in harmony with nature
The length of 23.98 m and a draft of just 1.74 m result from the shipyard’s desire to provide the owners of the A80 with maximum freedom of cruising and entering the coastal areas of the Mediterranean that are often unavailable for vessels over 24 m.
The restrictions imposed by the European law are compensated by the generous beam of 6.95 m and the Raised Pilot House, located between the main deck and the flybridge – a configuration the yard has never used before. This solution allowed for dedicating the bow section of the main part to the owner’s suite, as well as for accommodating for four more guest cabins of decent volume below deck, which allows the vessel to accommodate up to 10 guests. There are also two cabins for a crew of four.
The yard refers to the flybridge with the double helm on the starboard side as an “upper deck” – mainly due to its impressive area of 80 sq.m and versatility: it can be used as a sunbathing area, a lounge, an upper saloon, a dining area or a cinema.
The main saloon is split into a lounge and a dining area. It can be opened up with the help of glass doors on the portside and aft, which will unite it with the cockpit space. The interiors feature calm, muted shades and finishes, while vast areas of glazing ensure constant contact with the sea. A well-appointed galley is located next to the saloon on the portside and has a separate access to the crew quarters.
The beach club with a hydraulic swim platform and two fold-out terraces that extend its area can be used together with the lounge in the cockpit, which provides even more opportunities for fun and entertainment. The garage for a tender and water toys is located here, too.
Another compact but cosy exterior lounge is located on the foredeck. This space can be protected from the sun with a bimini tent, while a sofa and a table can be converted into a large sunpad.
Solar panels generate about 4.5 kW/h, which is stored in the batteries and used at anchor, allowing for having a rest in complete silence with all the necessary cons.
The semi-displacement hull and twin Volvo Penta IPS 1200 engines of 900 hp each allow the A80 to reach a top speed of 19 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots, while more powerful 1000 hp IPS 1350 engines increase these indicators by two more knots.
