Heesen 50m Aluminium FDHF
About Heesen 50m Aluminium FDHF
Heesen Yachts shipyard presented their 50m Aluminium FDHF in 2017. The country of origin is the Netherlands
The vessel with a length of 49.8 m, a beam of 9.1 m and a draft of 2.15 m is a motor superyacht with a fast displacement hull (FDHF) and a superstructure of aluminium.
The exterior of this three-deck superyacht was designed by Omega Architects, the interiors are from Cristiano Gatto Design, and the naval architecture was developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects.
There is accommodation for 12 guests in six cabins, including a spacious owner’s cabin with floor-to-ceiling windows on the main deck forward and a full-beam VIP cabin on the lower deck. There is also accommodation for a crew of nine.
The 50m Aluminium FDHF can be outfitted with a conventional or an advanced hybrid propulsion system. Regarding the performance, the model with a pair of conventional diesel engines MTU 12V 2000 M72 can reach a top speed of up to 19.5 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots. The top speed with a hybrid propulsion system (two MTU 12V 2000 M61 (IMO III) is lower (16.3 knots), but it ensures noiseless cruising and flexible power management for maximum energy efficiency. For example, at 10 knots the fuel consumption is 45 litres per hour in a hybrid mode.
Crafted by Cristiano Gatto Design, the interiors are minimalistic, whilst the huge windows, wood and steel details, sophisticated finish, art objects and furniture add a more individual touch.
