The YN21350 or Project Grace, presented in 2023 by Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts, should mark the beginning of an entirely new series of motor superyachts – 50m Steel FDHF
Heesen Yachts has already started work on the first model, and if everything goes according to schedule, the launch of the first hull will take place in 2027.
The length of the model is 49.9 m, the beam is 9.6 m, and the draft is 2.55 m.
Both the exterior and interior of the three-deck yacht were developed by the UK-based studio Harrison Eidsgaard. The naval architecture is by Van Oossanen Naval Architects.
The fast displacement hull (FDHF) is made of steel, and according to the shipyard, will not only be seaworthy, but also very comfortable when operating in various conditions. The superstructure is of aluminium to reduce the overall weight.
The interior volume of the vessel is 499 GT.
The 50m Steel FDHF provides comfortable accommodation for up to 12 guests in six cabins, including owner's suite on the main deck and five guest cabins on the lower deck.
The interior spaces include upper and main saloons, a galley on the main deck, a spacious wheelhouse and the captain's cabin on the bridge, as well as separate quarters for nine crew members.
Outdoor recreation areas are located on the sundeck and foredeck, as well as in the aft of the bridge deck and the main deck. In addition, the superyacht will have her own beach club with an infinity pool and a swimming platform.
With a pair of MAN D2862LE438 (IMO TIER III) engines of 1200 hp each the model can reach a top speed of 15.5 knots. The fuel capacity is 60 000 litres, which ensures a range of 3800 nautical miles at 12 knots.
There is a storage place for a 6.5 m tender and a jet ski on the foredeck.
