Nautor Swan 48 MKII
About Nautor Swan 48 MKII
The Swan 48 MKII is th evolution of an icon
The design of the first Swan 48 was developed by Sparkman & Stephens in 1971. The boat was a great success in offshore races such as the Bermuda Race, Transatlantic Race and Admiral's Cup. The next Swan 48 designed by Herman Frers in 1995 and 2019 was also a huge success with over 150 boats of this model built.
In 2023 the yard introduced the Swan 48 MKII, incorporating numerous tests and suggestions from customers and skippers.
The hull of the updated Swan 48MKII has been optimised for maximum performance heeling at 20 degrees, leaving the boat comfortable and fully liveable at sea in any condition.
The twin rudder configuration enhances the balance of the boat and giving back full sensitivity and pleasure while steering.
The mast well aft provides a good balance between the mainsail and jib, the latter being able to give good power when sailing downwind.
The cockpit is well protected and divided into areas for guests and sail handling, making the yacht easy to handle during cruising and racing. The accommodation comprises three double cabins with a master suite forward.
