The SW108 opens the world of green performance sailing

The superyacht represents sailing yachts embodying a balance of innovation, customisation, and sustainability. Co-designed by Nauta Design and Farr Yacht Design the yacht is tailored for experienced sailors seeking both performance and luxury.

The SW108 is Southern Wind’s first project engineered as a hybrid from the outset. Her hybrid propulsion system, developed with BAE Systems, offers energy efficiency and environmentally responsible sailing. 

The hull is made from advanced composite materials with a carbon-epoxy construction. This makes the SW108 exceptionally stiff and light, maximising her performance. The boat's wide stern, low transom, and full forward sections enhance her stability and handling, providing superior performance in various conditions. Owners can select from fixed, telescopic, or lifting keel configurations each offering different benefits in performance and versatility. The yacht can exceed wind speeds of up to 10 knots and reach over 20 knots in strong winds when broad reaching.

The deck and interior design of the SW108 follows Southern Wind's smart custom philosophy allowing extensive personalisation. Owners can choose from a range of deck configurations, including Raised Saloon, Deck Saloon, or GT. The GT configuration introduces an innovative transom concept, which reveals a garage that houses a 5-meter tender. This optional "magic transom" turns the aft section into a beach club and offers a unique on-water experience.

The interior layout includes an owner’s cabin with a forward or aft option, three guest cabins and a crew area positioned aft to ensure functional separation between crew and guest areas. The spacious L-shaped social area in the saloon is ideal for entertainment and relaxation. The overall interior is customisable to meet the owner’s aesthetic preferences with custom-built furniture.
