About Wally Wallywind130
The Wallywind130 represents a new level of innovation in sailing design
Combining high performance with comfort and luxury, this yacht stands out in the sailing world. Her naval architecture was developed by Judel/Vrolijk, while both her exterior and interior were designed by Luca Bassani in collaboration with Santa Maria Magnolfi.
Built entirely in carbon fibre composite, the yacht is exceptionally strong and light, and has great speed potential. A retractable keel system allows quick transitions between performance sailing and shallow-water cruising. Furling boom provide optimum speed and handling without compromising short handed ability. This is an easy boat to sail well.
The Wallywind130 has generous exterior space, including a shaded seating area for up to 20 guests. The cockpit is designed for socialising, with plenty of space for relaxation and entertainment. “Terrace-on-the-sea” at the transom offers direct access to the water.
Twin helm stations are discreetly positioned just inside the raised bulwarks, allowing guests to be as involved in the sailing as they wish. Sail controls and navigation displays are located amidships. Wally's original and now much imitated Magic Trim system allows the main and self-tacking jib to be set and adjusted at the touch of a button using hidden hydraulics.
Twin rudders similarly balance control under way with easy access. A variable pitch propeller provides optimum thrust under power while folding under sail to offer almost no drag. Bow and stern thrusters round out the manoeuvrability.
Inside, the yacht features a two-level living concept. The main saloon on deck level is surrounded by panoramic glass, offering stunning views and plenty of natural light. The full length skylight also makes it easy to control the sails. Below deck, the yacht offers luxurious accommodation, including a master suite that can be positioned either forward for privacy or aft to take advantage of the full beam. There are also three guest cabins, each with en suite facilities.
The interior design of the wallywind130 emphasises comfort and modern aesthetics. The use of carbon ribs, glass panels, and natural materials like teak and fine woods creates an atmosphere of understated luxury. The yacht’s layout is flexible, allowing owners to customise the spaces to their preferences.
