Mauro Giamboi’s concept stands out for its original technical solutions, non-standard approach to design and impressive interior and exterior spaces
With a length of 40 m and a beam of 13.4 m, the Axiom 40 offers an interior volume comparable to that of a monohull over 60 m and just under 500 GT. At the same time, the designer managed to make the exterior of the vessel stylish and modern, too, so that it looks like a superyacht rather than a catamaran.
One of the most impressive highlights of Giamboi’s concept is the giant beach club that takes up the larger part of the lower deck. Thanks to the fold-down terraces, sliding doors and the hi-lo hydraulic platform that can also carry a tender up to 10 m long, there appears a stunning lounge area at water level.

The pool with a see-through bottom on the main deck allows the sunlight to flood the beach club of 120 sq.m with sunlight, while the waterfall conceals the tunnel between the hulls. Moreover, the VIP cabins located next to the opening terraces, get extended and receive their access to the beach club, too.
The owner’s suite with a bathroom, a private office and access to the foredeck with a pool, take up 55 sq.m of the main deck. Four more guest cabins are located below deck, and, according to the designer, just like the VIP cabins, they can be equipped with their balconies as well.
The main saloon is open plan. In addition to the traditional lounge and dining areas, there can also be a bar. The sliding glass doors allow one to unite the area of the saloon with the aft terrace, offering sofas and sun loungers around a large pool.

The upper deck is home to an al fresco dining area, while the sundeck can accommodate an additional helm station, a jacuzzi, a bar, lounging and sunbathing areas. There is a dumbwaiter to serve the upper levels.
With the help of a diesel-electric propulsion system, the catamaran can reach a provisional top speed of 16 knots, while the range is 3500 nautical miles.
“This concept represents a leap forward in yacht design, combining form and function with visionary features rarely seen even in yachts twice her size. All wrapped in a striking, sculptural design that dares to do things differently," said Giamboi.
