Despite the fact that the Peregrine 48m is the entry model in this range of explorer superyachts, she has inherited some of the features of the 75-metre Peregrine presented earlier
According to the designer, he was inspired by the bird of the same name, known to be a long-range world traveller. The Peregrine range combines comfort and practicality: the spaces on board can be easily transformed from lounges to research laboratories.

The main deck layout allowed for a spacious owner’s suite forward, including a private office, a library, a bathroom, a dressing room and a private balcony. Amidships, there is a hall and the main staircase, while further towards the stern there is a saloon with panoramic glazing, transitioning smoothly into an open deck.
There is another full-beam saloon on the upper deck. The exterior part of this deck can be home to sun loungers and sofas or it can be fitted with scientific equipment with the help of two cranes.

Below deck, there are five cabins for up to 10 guests. The designer made it possible for some of the living spaces to be transformed into research areas. For example. The cinema can also function as a conference hall or a sixth cabin.
The Peregrine 48m features a classic ketch rig, with furling booms and three roller furling headsails. There are numerous solar panels integrated across the yacht’s superstructure to provide renewable energy for onboard systems and hotel load.

Tony Castro made a special emphasis on the fact that Peregrine 48m offers "unlimited range and cost reductions", allowing for a "fully self-sufficient, eco-conscious way of voyaging and exploring while reducing the environmental footprint."

Just like the 75-metre concept, the 48-metre sailing superyacht is available in two configurations: Explorer and Luxe. The Explorer version combines all the modern cons with specialized areas for long expeditions, while the Luxe is focused on maximum comfort. Thus, the Luxe’s main deck offers a glass pool and sunpads forward, while Explorer has scientific containers here. Both versions feature spacious flybridges with retractable bimini tents, two helm stations and exterior lounges.
