Two world-famous design studios, Tripp Design and Design Unlimited, have teamed up to create a drastically new concept that they believe to be “blending the elegance of motor yacht interiors with the freedom and sustainability of wind-powered cruising”
“Project Elemental is designed for owners who love the sea but want to experience it differently,” said Bill Tripp, head of Tripp Design. “It’s exciting to sail but never intimidating, a yacht that delivers 18 knots of fun without ever feeling out of control.”
The speed, which is really high for a multihull, is possible thanks to the sail area of 1,230 sq.m and a light aluminium construction. The beam of almost 20 m will make the vessel even more stable.
Moreover, the yacht will be fitted with hybrid and regenerative systems for more efficient operation and compliance with the latest eco-friendly requirements.
The Elemental offers a dozen of guests a variety of outdoor lounging scenarios, and the deck layouts can be customised in accordance with individual preferences. Thus, the pool can be located on the flybridge or in the beach club with a spa saloon aft.
In addition to the lounge forward, one can relax in the nets above the waves between the hulls, and arrange a fire pit in the cockpit.
The interior created by Design Unlimited is said to feature a well-thought-out balance between generous social areas and secluded private spaces.
The catamaran can accommodate up to 12 guests across six luxurious cabins. The key highlight of the project is the split-level master suite on the main deck, offering amazing panoramic views. The VIP cabin and four guest suites are located on the lower decks. To ensure better privacy, the crew quarters are located forward and feature private access.
In addition to four double crew cabins, there are also two private double cabins for captain and mate.
“We wanted to create a yacht that gives powerboat owners the confidence to embrace sailing, without giving up the comfort or lifestyle they love,” said Mark Tucker of Design Unlimited.
