The capital of Quatar, Doha, is gearing up to spotlight allegedly the most impressive boat show in Qatar’s history
Despite the fact that it is the first time the Boat Show has taken place, the entry list of the event is really impressive. Along with the Gulf countries, among the participants of the show there are such industry giants as Azimut-Benetti, Feadship, Heesen, Oceanco, Ferretti Group and others, which confirms the fact that the largest shipyards in the world are aware of the prospects of this exhibition and intend to participate in it from the start.
A total of about 500 companies and about a hundred yachts and motor boats got together in the picturesque Old Doha Port in the capital of Qatar. The area of the reconstructed port spans an impressive 800 000 sq.m. There are two world-class marinas and all the necessary coastal infrastructure, including shops, hotels and restaurants.
The Qatar Boat Show is part of Qatar’s Vision 2030 aimed at fostering economic growth and boosting tourism. The organisers of the Show hope that Qatar’s reputation as one of the safest countries in the world, coupled with its robust tourism and growing economic indicators, will position the Qatar Boat Show as a significant event on the international maritime calendar, while its expanding marine infrastructure will make Qatar one of the leading destinations for luxury maritime activities.
Commenting on the successful launch of the first Qatar Boat Show, Mohammad Al Mulla, Chief Executive Officer of Old Doha Port, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event: “The Qatar Boat Show 2024 is a strategic milestone that aligns with the long-term vision of Old Doha Port and our nation”
