The new superyacht is the first in the series of all-aluminum DOM vessels equipped with hybrid-propulsion by Italian Baglietto
The main focus for the creators of the L’Instant was sustainability, which is obvious starting from her interiors featuring carpets and fabric made from recycled plastic and industrial waste to the propulsion system, capable of working in full-electric mode.
Designer Leonardo Santi created a warm and elegant atmosphere on board. He opted for the contrast of light eucalyptus and walnut, upholstered furniture of neutral shades with touches of turquoise chosen by the owner.
The materials and the furnishings by such iconic Italian design brands as Flexform, Cassina, Vitra and Softhouse add elegance and style in accordance with the owner's preferences, who was also actively involved in the yacht's layout and interior design.
As requested by the owner, the galley was moved from the main deck to the lower one, and replaced with a VIP cabin next to the master suite. All the internal staircases have been redesigned completely, and the pool on the sundeck has been replaced with an outdoor gym.
The hybrid propulsion system consists of a diesel endothermic engine and an ultracompact hybrid unit fitted with an electrical motor installed between the main engine and the gearbox.
According to the shipyard, the latest-generation high energy density battery-packs grant the yacht up to 9 hours at anchor with zero emissions and in complete silence, while the two Caterpillar C32 ACERT diesel engines are compatible with HVO bio fuel, which can reduce CO2 emission considerably (by up to 90%).
With diesel engines the L’Instant can develop a top speed of up to 17 knots, and about 10 knots in the electric mode.
In 2025, Baglietto is planning to launch eight new yachts.
