The MXP stands for Mediterranean Explorer, as the model is positioned not only as an explorer boat, but as the embodiment of a beach-club lifestyle typical of Mediterranean cruisers
According to Ömer Malaz, Chairman at Numarine, this boat preserves the same stylistic cues and advantages of all Numarine explorers: high volume, low maintenance, long range, while featuring a larger aft deck, which allows for rethinking the area by the water.
The construction previously trialled on the Numarine 37XP model has been refined by Can Yalman Design and naval architect Umberto Tagliavini. Instead of the beach club and garage featured by the 37XP, the Miouch boasts a full-beam (8.04 m) hydraulic swim platform for immediate access to the water and a pool with a beautiful glass façade. The tender and water toys have been moved to the second deck, where there is also a crane for launching and retrieving them.
Exterior lounges for al fresco recreation are available in the cockpit, at the bow and definitely on the sundeck, where one can sunbathe, arrange dinners for up to 10 people and have cocktail parties, as there is also a bar counter.
Despite the enlarged exterior areas, the displacement steel hull with an aluminium superstructure and a draft of 2.51 m has quite a decent internal volume of 499 GT. The Numarine 40MXP can accommodate 12 guests across six cabins, including the master suite on the main deck and five cabins below. One of the VIP cabins is full-beam just like the master suite, and can be divided into two rooms as an option: a bedroom and a lounge.
In good weather, the main saloon, part of which has been dedicated to the dining area, can turn into a summer veranda with the help of sliding window sections. The informal saloon on the second deck can also function as a cinema.
Two diesel MAN D2868 LE425 engines of 800 hp deliver a top speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The fuel capacity of 51000 L allows the Miouch to cover up to 6000 nautical miles at a speed of 8 knots.
