Apart from the original exterior, the 28.04-m composite vessel offers a good balance of seamlessly integrated indoor and outdoor spaces and boasts a number of cutting-edge features.

The first WiderCat 92 unit has a four-cabin layout. The master cabin is located in the bow of the main deck, which is quite unusual for a multihull of this size. On the lower deck there are two more VIP cabins, one twin guest cabin and crew quarters. A five-cabin option is available, too, with another twin guest cabin.

In addition to lounge and dining areas the galley is also located on the main deck. With the help of large sliding glass doors one can integrate the saloon and the cockpit, with its large sofa and convertible tables.

The upper deck houses the helm station – next to a small saloon, while most of the space here is recreation area both forward and aft.

The tender garage transforms into an expansive swim platform. What’s worth mentioning is that the fold-out bulwarks do not only increase the beach club area while at anchor, but also open access to the compartments for water toys storage.

The WiderCat 92 is powered by a hybrid propulsion system with twin electric motors, delivering 500kW each and two 349kW variable speed generators. The energy is accumulated in LiFePO4 (Lithium-Iron Phosphate) batteries, equipped with a state-of-the-art management and control system, developed by Wider.

The shipyard claims that in Zero Emission Mode and in “complete silence” the catamaran is capable of cruising up to 27 nautical miles at 6 knots or providing energy for essential needs for 14 hours at anchor.  In addition, 150 sq. m solar panels ensure self-sufficiency at anchor, with any excess energy stored in the batteries for the nighttime.

“The WiderCat 92 is a collective masterpiece, a synthesis of vision, craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology,” says Marcello Maggi, head of W-Fin Sarl, the holding company that owns 100 per cent of Wider equity. “Each designer, engineer and craftsman has poured their passion into this endeavor… I have full confidence that, just as in our previous milestones, the WiderCat 92 will set a new standard in the industry.”
