A new port of call has appeared for all those travelling by boat towards the Istrian peninsular or from the north of Croatia southwards

The new Marina Polesana is located on the northern side of the Bay of Pula – right opposite the well-known Marina Veruda. It is also equally convenient to get to the Brijuni Islands, beloved by lots of yachsmen. The new marina offers 400 water berths, 42 dry berths and a professional yacht service with a 200-tonne crane. Lots of different charter companies are based here, too.

The marina officially opened back in 2022, but now it is finally complete as part of the Sv. Katarina Nautical Tourism Complex (the Katarina island and the Monumenti military area used to be home for a Royal Navy Submarine school). The idea behind the project was to offer yachtsmen the “ultimate yachting experience” and most modern facilities: cafes, restaurants, high class hotels and shops that were missing in Pula. As for Pula, the capital of Istria, it is a really interesting city thanks to numerous sights: the Temple of Augustus and the Arc de Triomphe from the ancient Roman times, as well as the Venetian fortress.
