Both cruisers, the MP10 and the MP12, were designed by Rosario Alcaro in collaboration with Roberto Delfanti Design Lab, while the concept behind Marcopolo Adventure Yachts combines contemporary aesthetics, advanced technology and a strong spirit of exploration
It's interesting to note that the platform designed by the new brand allows one to change the vessel’s layouts from open to enclosed even years after purchase. This is very likely to appeal to the owners planning to operate their boat in various water areas with a changeable climate.
The MP10 with a length of 9.96 m and a beam of 3.05 m is a cruise with a clear focus on outdoor space, while the size of the MP12 (a length of 12.70 m and a beam of 4.05 m) allows for more attention to interior spaces and operating the boat as an all-weather cruiser.
Both models’ exterior stands out for a flared bow, creating more useable space. The signature colour is Steel Grey with a wide black band along the hull and a white hardtop. The hulls are built from recycled PET, which reduces the impact on the environment, while the bulkheads and some furniture components are from honeycomb polypropylene to reduce the weight. On the MP12, the uprights and hardtop are strengthened with carbon fibre.
Both models feature fold-down bulwarks increasing the area of the cockpit and a distinctive structure surrounding the outboard area. The hulls, developed using advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics, ensure stability and balance even at high speeds and feature steps (two for the MP10 and three for the MP12).
The interior finishes are dominated by light colours. The upholstery uses Space Shell, which was originally developed for aerospace and motorsport, as it can limit heat transfer. The interior panels are trimmed in Dinamica, borrowed from the automotive world and known for its lightness and durability.
The MP12’s interior has a cruiser layout. Below deck there is a double cabin with two large wardrobes, a bathroom with a shower and two single berths aft. There is also a large sunpad and two foldable tables aft.
Despite the smaller size, the MP10 offers comfortable conditions, too: a forward dinette optionally fitted with a sofa-bed, an aft double bert and a spacious bathroom with shower. The MP10 features an asymmetrical hardtop that shelters both the helm station and the galley module and favours the portside passageway.
Both boats are powered by outboard engines. The MP10 is offered with twin engines with a total power of up to 900 hp, whilt the MP12 can be fitted with up to three engines of 450 hp each.
“A clean, functional aesthetic makes MARCOPOLO ADVENTURE YACHTS perfectly suited in both open and cruiser configurations. Their versatility stems from multiple configuration options and a hull engineered to perform in all sea conditions. MARCOPOLO sets itself apart by appealing to different boating styles and markets, thanks to layouts that can evolve from open to cruiser through a simple configuration change, even years after purchase. These yachts are safe, technologically advanced and high-performance, designed for both adventurous owners and demanding families,” explains head of the yard, Rosario Alcaro.
