The exterior design, as well as the decks configuration options remained unchanged. The new standout feature is definitely the opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet on board, as well as no exhaust emissions, which means keeping up with the green yachting trend that is getting more and more popular.

There is no flybridge version – only coupé with a hardtop with inserts of glass and solar panels to reduce the weight, let natural light into the saloon and accumulate energy for the electric propulsion. The yard does not hide its intention to switch more conventional engines customers to hybrid propulsion in the future, and they are likely to succeed if they offer hybrid versions with a flybridge, too.

The Sirena 48 Hybrid is powered by two electric motors of 213 kW each, delivering a top speed of 14 knots. In the silent electric mode the boat can draw power directly from the battery bank and cover up to 30 nautical miles, before switching on the variable speed generators. According to the yard, this mode will be in demand mainly for a low-profile departure from a harbour or silent and emission-free anchorage.

For longer range and higher speed the yacht uses two highly efficient generators that produce the electricity needed to drive the boat and recharge the batteries. They do this much more effectively than a diesel engine and can be positioned independently of the propellers, which reduces noise and vibration to a minimum.

Fully charged batteries allow one to spend the night in complete silence even with the air conditioining on and the galley or AV systems in use. In addition to silence and eco-friendliness, the extra bonuses are the reduction of fuel consumption by up to 35 per cent and the maintenance costs that are 10-15 per cent lower, depending on the yacht usage mode.

The Turkish manufacturer promises that in the future all the Sirena Yachts models will be available both in coupé and hybrid versions.
