The shipyard promises the Wilder 60 will feature a highest level of customization, supercar performance and efficiency, and superyacht interior finish
At an early design stage the shipyard spent quite a lot of time on the research of what this “envy-inducing” 60-foot yacht should be like. As a result, the WiLder 60 can offer her owner ample exterior spaces, custom interiors and a seaworthy hull, capable of efficient work in various conditions developed by Wider Engineering.
“The WiLder 60 was always conceived as a yacht that would capture the imagination of adventurous, fun-loving, thrill-seeking and discerning clients who know exactly what they want, and who know that is exactly what the WiLder 60 will give them,” says Marcello Maggi, head of W-Fin Sarl. “From her 40-knot performance and perfect poise in handling to her superb finish – thanks to WiLder’s absolutely tailor-made, custom superyacht approach, a transformative innovation in this size bracket – there is nothing quite like the WiLder 60.”
Elegant dynamic exterior lines in a real Gran Turismo sport car style are complуmented by such futuristic elements as an inverted bow, a low wheelhouse and a sloping windshield. A large bow section offers a generous lounge with sofas and a sunpad, and there is another sunpad and a dining / lounge area with a table and sofas sheltered by the hardtop.
The helm station with two leather armchairs features a modern style and is equipped with touch panels, reminding one of Italian supercars. In general, there are quite a lot of elements reminiscent of car sport on board and highlighting the sporty character of the vessel.
On the first unit’s lower deck there is a spacious master cabin forward, two guest cabins aft, and a saloon with a designer galley. But according to the shipyard, they can offer various configurations and, for instance, transform one of the cabins into crew quarters.
The most exciting thing about the WiLder 60 is probably her technical features, as the look of the yacht sends a strongest message of her power. And although it is not outstanding, it is quite impressive, indeed. Twin MAN V8 engines of 1300 hp each are linked to the surface drives, giving the Wilder 60 a top speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 35 knots and a range of 240 nautical miles. Bow and stern thrusters, a dynamic positioning system and two optional Quick MC2 X19 stabilizers are in charge of the WiLder 60’s stability and manoeuvrability, allowing her owner and guests to focus on having a good time both at anchor and under way.
“She is everything we conceived her to be, and so much more. She shows that performance yachts can still be luxurious; that 60-footers can still be built with a superyacht ethos; and that whatever a client imagines, we can make reality,” says Fabio Fraternale, Wider CEO.
