Unlike most of the mass-produced boats, Forte Yachts’s goal is a more exclusive segment, superyacht design and quality, but on a smaller scale and at a more affordable price
According to one of the founders of the brand, Fernando Moricca, the name of the Forte Yachts brand was born in the town of Forte dei Marmi. Besides, “forte” is the Italian for “strong”, and the idea was to build vessels of durable aliuminium. “It just fits: short, Italian, global, and evocative,” said Fernando Moricca.

West Navaltech yard located in Italian Ameglia is known as an expert in civil and commercial boats of steel and aluminium. The company’s portfolio also features ranging from 14 to 50 metres, as well as impressive experience as a supplier for many of the leading Italian shipyards.
“The creation of Forte Yachts marks a strategic expansion. We wanted to separate our workboat production from our leisure brand, keeping both worlds independent but complementary,” said Technical Manager and partner, Livio Franchini.

Construction on the first yacht of the brand, the 14.3-metre aluminium Forte 47, is now well underway. The yard describes her as a spacious and versatile cruiser suitable both for day cruising and weekend getaways.
Open layout, fold-down bulwarks, side walkways, modular aft section and sunbathing area on the foredeck offer great opportunities for the daytime, while there are two cabins and two bathrooms below deck for the guests who stay the night.

“Thanks to our full-beam construction and the strategic use of asymmetrical walkways, we’ve eliminated unnecessary steps and optimized internal volumes. Even below deck ceiling heights exceed two meters," said the yard’s Head of Design, Paolo Giordano.
The hull that is efficient both in terms of performance and comfort was designed by Umberto Tagliavini of Marine Design & Services.

The Forte 47 is available both with outboard and inboard engines. The layouts vary a little depending on the propulsion option, but in general it is most flexible and, according to the shipyard, takes into account real world usage conditions.

More detailed information on the model will be available at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025, where Forte Yachts is planning to make the official presentation of the project.
