First Zeelander 8 flagship, the largest model up to date, is now under construction at the Dutch shipyard
Besides, it’s also known now that the first 23.9-metre hull has already found an owner.
The exterior design is similar to the ‘back to the future’ style characteristic of the Dutch manufacturer. It was developed in collaboration with Cor D. Rover Design, and the main challenge for the new model was to keep the exterior well-balanced and proportionate despite the voluptuous size of the yacht.
The only thing known about the interiors so far is that they come from the shipyard’s own designer team, and that they will boast a highest level of detailing and lots of glossy finish. The naval architecture was developed by Sea Level – Amsterdam.
With a beam of 6.4 m, the yacht will accommodate up to six guests in three cabins. There will also be space for a crew of three.
Similarly to her predecessors from the same range, the Zeelander 8 features a GRP hull, a drive-in tender garage, a fold-out transom and a low level of vibration and noise, never exceeding 72 dBa even at maximum speed.
One can suggest that the model will be powered by Volvo Penta IPS, capable of reaching up to 38-40 knots.
“The Zeelander 8 will be extremely quiet to operate, with peerless handling regardless of the propulsion options selected. When we are finally able to share details of the interior, it should become clear that this yacht represents the absolute peak of understated performance and comfort for the world's most demanding owners”, said Zeelander founder and owner, Sietse Koopmans.
As it has already been reported, the flagship’s construction is underway, and the first Zeelander 8 is to be delivered to the owner in the summer of 2024.
