Deep Blue series flagship, the 43.11 m Deep Blue 141 explorer, has been sold by Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) to a British client
The new yacht is going to be built on the same platform as the Acala, presented in 2022, but will acquire some specific features. By the way, this is a second sale for Cantiere delle Marche this year: previously we reported about the sale of the first unit of the 35-metre Deep Blue 115.
The exterior design of the explorer comes from Horacio Bozzo studio, while engineering and naval architecture are by Hydro Tec. The interiors were developed by British Vickers Studio, and it is the first time they have collaborated with CdM shipyard.
The exterior of the Deep Blue 141 couples the features of a brutal explorer with the elegance of an oceangoing vessel. It was essential for the design team to combine the aesthetic appeal with maximum functionality. The sleek lines soften the look, but the vessel remains a true explorer, capable of taking the owners to the most remote and exotic destinations all around the globe.
The Deep Blue 141 will get a robust steel hull of 8.6 metres, gross tonnage under 500 GT, a couple of reliable Caterpillar C32 engines of 746 kW each, and an impressive range of 7500 nautcal miles at 10 knots. The top speed is 15.3 knots.
According to the shipyard, the layout will be similar to that of the Acala, so one can expect accommodation for up to 10 guests across five cabins with a master stateroom on the main deck and the rest of them below. It has also been said that some changes have been made ‘to reflect the owner's preferences and lifestyle’, but so far no more details have been revealed. It is highly likely that just like the Acala the explorer will feature two saloons, pools, alfresco recreation areas aft and on the sundeck, as well as storage space for two tenders and water toys in the bow section.
