The traditional keel-laying ceremony for the ISA Gran Turismo 68m took place in Ancona, at ISA Yachts facility (a brand of Palumbo Superyachts)
The yacht that was sold to an American owner in January 2026 is said to represent “a balance between sportiness and elegance”. The new build was inspired by the 66.4-metre Okto, delivered in 2014, but Italian Vallicelli Design (creators of both yachts’ exteriors) and the yard’s engineering department decided to “reinterpret ISA’s iconic stylistic language in a contemporary key”.
The ISA Gran Turismo 68m’s exterior retains such signature features of the brand as a powerful dynamic silhouette, connecting arches between the three decks and the circular dining area on the main deck. However, Andrea Vallicelli also made some changes to the project in accordance with the owner’s vision.
The yacht’s design is meant to enhance direct contact with the sea, so she features a beach club with fold-down balconies with a gym, a spa and a lounge. A little higher, on the main deck, the aft section is home to a generous pool with some free space around it, where one can do yoga at sunrise, sunbathe during the day and have social events in the evening.
The interior will be entrusted to Enrico Gobbi and his Team for Design. The vessel will offer luxurious accommodation for up to 14 guests. There will be four cabins below deck (one of them with twin beds), while two VIPs and the master suite will be located on the main deck forward. There will also be eight cabins for a crew of 14.
The vessel will be powered by twin MTU 12V4000M65L engines of 1771 kW each, capable of delivering a top speed of 17.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. The yacht’s provisional range is about 5,000 nautical miles, which proves the ocean-going purpose of the ISA Gran Turismo 68m and the owner’s intention to make long voyages all around the globe.
The delivery of the yacht is scheduled for 2028.
