Turkish Sarp Yachts shipyard has begun construction on the first unit of the new version of its 26-metre Sarp XSR85 model
The new yacht's name includes RPH abbreviation in its name, which stands for Raised Pilot House. In addition to this dedicated wheelhouse, located between the main deck and flybridge levels, the Sarp XSR 85 RPH has other features that make her different from the previous yachts in the XSR series. According to the shipyard, she features larger open-plan living areas, while the superstructure has floor-to-ceiling windows.
The Sarp XSR 85 RPH was developed by Dutch Van Oossanen Naval Architects and Turkish Red Yacht Design studio. There are five cabins for the owner and guests, with the master suite located on the main deck and featuring a private open bow terrace.
The yacht features an impressive contemporary style saloon, a cozy al fresco lounge in the aft cockpit and a large swimming platform.
The model’s technical characteristics have not been revealed yet. It is interesting to note that Sarp XSR 85 yachts can be built both with displacement and planing hulls, and can be fitted both with conventional and hybrid propulsion systems, so the performance characteristics may vary considerably. In any case, at a cruising speed of 12 knots they boast a large range of over 1000 nautical miles.
The first Sarp XSR 85 RPH unit has already been sold and is due for delivery in the summer of 2025.
