Sialia 80 Explorer: an electric vessel for eco-friendly yachting
The Sialia 80 Explorer will feature an alluminium hull and superstructure and will be equipped with AMPROS propulsion system, specially designed for electric yachts
Thanks to this propulsion system and a number of other eco-innovations, the Sialia 80 Explorer can enter Environmentally Controlled Areas (ECA) and other "territorial waters" that are normally closed for conventional vessels.
The yacht will be powered by twin 400 kWh electric motors with a maximum speed of over 11 knots and a range of about 3000 nautical miles. For now this data is of preliminary character.
The explorer’s futuristic design with her diamond-pattern exterior and sleek shapes looks quite appealing. The aft part is open and can be used as a beach club or a storage for a tender and water toys.
The flybridge can house a bar, a lounge or a dining area, and there can be sunpads or sofas with tables aft. The multi-level main deck is maximally open, with a helm station forward, a saloon amidships and a galley aft, where there is an al fresco dining area.
Below deck four cabins can accommodate eight guests and four crew members. The full-beam master is 8.5 meters wide and has a convenient direct access to the aft platform.
The creators call the Sialia 80 Explorer “the most advanced explorer to date”. "Sialia 80 Explorer is designed to travel to some of the world's most remote locations in silence and with minimal environmental impact," said Stanislav Szadkowski, Sialia Yachts co-founder and CEO.
