The regatta has the status of the Russian Cup in the J/70 Class and is supported by the Russian Yachting Federation
There were 11 teams at the start line of the final stage of the competition. The geography included Moscow, Moscow region, Saint Petersburg, Vladivostok, Gelendzhik, Taganrog, Izhevsk, Tolyatti, Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk and Monchegorsk.
Five races were held on Firday, with a steady westerly wind of 11-16 knots gusting up to 18 knots. Bars Sailing Team took the lead almost immediately: at the end of the first racing day it had 3 first-place finishes and 5 points in the standings. Alex Team was second with 10 points, and Trem Sailing Team closed the top three with 12 points.
There were three more races on Saturday. The first two lines in the standings remained unchanged, as Bars Sailing Team had the best result at the end of two days (16 points), Alex Team was still second and reduced the gap with the leaders (20 points). Having won one position, RUS7 team with 23 points managed to climb up to the third place.
There were four races on the final racing day of the stage. As a result of incredibly fierce competition, Alex Team managed to equal the points with the favourite of the stage, Bars Sailing Team. However, it was impossible to beat the leader in terms of first finishes, and Bars Sailing Team won the PROyachting Cup final with a score of 26 points, while Alex Team received silver medals.
With 8 points behind the leader, Trem Sailing Team got the bronze of the stage.
The contenders for the Cup approached the final stage with a minimal gap in points: Bars Sailing Team with 6 points, and RUS7 with 7. The results of the final stage gave the teams double points, so it was strategically important for the leaders of the season not to miss the races in Sirius.
The victory in the final allowed Bars Sailing Team to break away from the closest rival and become the new winner of the Russian Cup in the J/70 class. The silver of the season went to RUS7, while Alex Team won the bronze.
