12 boats have taken part in the spectacular races of the Superyacht Cup Palma 2024
The 24-metre Wally Rose (Wally 80) has won the Superyacht Cup Palma Trophy - as well as Class B race.
Class A witnessed an extraordinarily fierce competition with the 59-metre Maximus superketch (Vitters) winning the final race — and the class, and beating the 39-metre Cervo by a single second.
Meanwhile, Svea, with her famous tactician Bouwe Bekking, has taken her third win of the regatta in the J Class, leaving behind veteran Velsheda and Rainbow, who finished level on points.
"The downwind start was something a bit different today as we are used to starting upwind, but we did OK," said Bouwe Bekking. "We managed to get to a place where we could gybe ahead of the opposition, and we were well set from there".
Established in 1996, the Superyacht Cup Palma is the longest running sailing superyacht regatta in Europe. The annual event attracts world’s largest and best-known sailboats, as well as guests, to the amazing island of Mallorca. The Superyacht Cup combines professionally managed yacht racing with a relaxed and fun atmosphere of historic Palma, home to the Mediterranean superyachting. The event also provides a private and informal social environment for networking at the Yacht Club Race Village, the focal point for owners, guests, sponsors and sailors. The exclusive Real Club Náutico de Palma was chosen as the venue for the 25th anniversary of the Superyacht Cup in 2020 and has remained the event's home since.
