Founded in 1978, Heesen Yachts is an expert in designing and building custom and semi-custom motor superyachts of steel and aluminium ranging from 50 to 80 metres

On 7 April 2025, Heesen Yachts announced that now its only owner is Dutch entrepreneur, Laurens Last. According to the shipyard, this deal ensures Heesen’s future operation, strengthening its financial foundation, preserving its heritage and the yard’s commitment to the most advanced innovations. One of the yard’s top priority tasks is strategic expansion in the key international markets. In 2024, Heesen reported a record revenue of EUR 209 million and EBITDA of EUR 17 million.

Laurens Last is not just a successful entrepreneur managing a whole portfolio of companies, but a passionate yachtsman. “This acquisition is more than investment – it’s a dream. Heesen represents the pinnacle of Dutch engineering and maritime craftsmanship. I am honoured to take the ownership and ensure the brand continues to flourish for generations to come”, said Last.

Heesen is still the only fully integrated yacht builder in the Netherlands. Thanks to its modern facilities and an in-house luxury interior division, the company controls every stage of the yacht building process: from design concept and engineering to final outfitting.
