Underwater scooter Sublue Vapor to reach up to 10 km/h
The Sublue Vapor is one of the world’s fastest underwater scooters: it offers a top speed of up to 10 km/h, which is almost twice as fast as an average speed of a fin-wearing person
It’s not the first time that the well-known Chinese enterprise producing underwater scooters, drones and other kinds of underwater intelligent equipment has made ecologists, tourists and all adventure lovers happy. Since the company was founded in 2013, Sublue has simply revolutionized its segment of underwater gear.
The previous Sublue model, Seabow, offers a top speed of 6.5 km/h, so the leap in performance characteristics is definitely surprising.
The record increase in speed became possible thanks to the enhanced and more powerful propulsion. The Vapor features a pump-jet system powered by a 384.8-Wh lithium-ion battery. It takes 3 hours to charge and is enough for 45 minutes of runtime at the lowest of three speed settings of 6 km/h. If you want to reach 10 km/h, the runtime will drop to about 18 minutes.
All the speed, heading, water temperature and depth indicators are displayed on a 4.3-inch LCD screen.
The Sublue Vapor can go down to the depth of 40 metres and will sound an alarm if users ascend or descend too fast.
The scooter is quite compact (544х379х288 mm). It weighs 8.6 kg on land and is slightly positively buoyant underwater. The colour options are red, blue, grey and yellow.
At the manufacture’s web site, the new water toy is currently priced at $2,999.
