First Canados Heritage 36’ catamaran delivered to US
Rome-based shipyard Canados (which is an abbreviation for Cantieri Navali di Ostia) believes this delivery to be a milestone in its history: Italians are ready to conquer North and Latin American markets, as well as the Caribbean
The Canados Heritage 36’ debut took place in the autumn of 2025 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) in the USA. The sport multihull received great reviews, as the audience appreciated not only the performance and elegance of the new model, but also the ease of maintenance. Other significant factors are efficiency and a good choice of options, allowing one to adjust the boat to her owner’s lifestyle.
With a length of 11 m and a beam of 3.85 m (the draft is just 0.60 m), the catamaran has a passenger capacity of up to 16 people, which makes it a perfect superyacht tender.
At the same time, exterior lounges forward and aft, a dining area amidships (which can be enclosed in the Ultimate version), a shower in the cockpit and a hydraulic platform with a ladder allow one to use the Canados Heritage 36’ as a high-end dayboat for family and friends.
The twin-hull configuration and optimized tunnel design ensure the yacht has great stability and reduce hydrodynamic drag. Moreover, the manufacturers claim they managed to reduce fuel consumption by 30% compared to similar vessels, which led to a larger range and optimised operation costs. Twin outboard Mercury engines of 250 hp deliver a top speed of up to 43 knots, and up to 50 knots with a 300 hp option. The cruising speed is 30 knots.
Modern Mercury Joystick Piloting, integrated with Skyhook® and Garmin GPS system, offer intuitive handling and navigation. The 24-volt system, including the air conditioning, provides up to eight hours of quiet, generator-free comfort on battery power alone.
With the promotion of the Heritage 36’ on the American market, Canados is hoping to set a new standard for sport cruisers, combining “performance, efficiency, and versatility for owners and operators”.
