Bilgin Yachts
About Bilgin Yachts shipyard
Bilgin Yachts is one of the oldest and largest shipbuilding companies in Turkey and is a five-generation family business. Back in 1900s they built boats for the Turkish sultan Abdul Hamid II. With time their production kept growing and improving in terms of engineering. In late 1950s quite large boats were launched by Bilgin, and in 1975 they started serial production of 10-20 m yachts for the local market. However, the name of Bilgin got its international acclaim only in early 2000s, when they started building superyachts. Today Bilgin Yachts production facilities in different areas of Turkey make up about 60,000 square meters, which allows the shipyard both to build and to refit five 50-120 m superyachts simultaneously.
Highlights
Bilgin Yachts portfolio includes both custom yachts and ‘platform’ 50-80 m projects. In terms of design the shipyard has been a longtime partner of the British H2 Yacht Design studio and the Turkish Unique Yacht Design.
Achievements
In 2020 Bilgin Yachts launched their 80 m Tatiana yacht, which became the largest yacht that had ever been built in Turkey. Bilgin boats have been the finalists and the winners of the most prestigious awards in the yachting community for their design and eco-friendliness.
