About ISA shipyard
ISA Yachts’ foundation in Ancona in 2001 was the result of a joint effort of large shipbuilding companies Overmarine and Rodriguez Group, striving to build large sport superyachts. Equipped with water-jets and developed by renowned designers, it didn’t take these impressive performance yachts long to conquer the market. However, when the shipyard had already launched dozens of boats, there came the crisis of 2008. Despite being in a difficult financial situation, the shipyard completed the projects that were in progress and later joined another major shipbuilding holding, Palumbo Group. It didn’t just help revive the brand, but allowed ISA Yachts to expand the model range considerably with series of various types.
Highlights
Today ISA builds yachts not only with composite hulls, but also of steel and aluminium. The performance background of the shipyard is reflected in the models of Sport and Super Sportivo ranges, capable of developing the speed up to 50 knots. The yachts of Classic and Continental ranges are classic ones, with steel hulls and a large range up to 6,000 nm. For Granturismo models that have a large range, too, there is a choice of steel or aluminium hulls, which influences their performance characteristics. All-aluminium Crossbow boats are characterized by aggressive design with an axe-shaped bow and a revers stem tilt. As the shipyard has a project division of their own, they can afford to build custom yachts, as well as highly customizable serial models not only in terms of interior and layouts: even the superstructure of the yacht can be changed at the customer’s request.
Achievements
ISA yachts have really few competitors on the market of performance yachts. Besides, thanks to their equipment with water-jets, they are characterized by amazing maneuverability.
