About Numarine shipyard
Numarine shipyard located not far from Istanbul was founded in 2002 and initially built planing fiberglass models typical for the Mediterranean: open performance boats, flybridge and hardtop yachts. However, the shipyard’s specialization changed dramatically after they presented their first expedition yacht in 2017 – a 32 m Numarine 32 XP. They have been working in this segment ever since. At first, Numarine models were not considered yachts for long voyages and not real explorers: despite the large range, their hulls were of fiberglass, which is inferior to steel in terms of durability. However, later Numarine switched to building large models of steel successfully, confirming their success in designing and building expedition superyachts.
Highlights
At the very start of their work Numarine used some advanced technologies working with fiberglass composites and introduced the method of vacuum infusion, which allows to make more durable but lighter constructions and enhances performance characteristics at the same time. Today only the models under 30 meters are made of fiberglass, while the larger ones have steel hulls and a composite superstructure. All Numarine yachts have the highest level of customization and are built in accordance with the customer’s expectations.
Achievements
Even the entry-level 22 m Numarine has a range of 1,500 nautical miles, while the 37-meter one has a range of 6,000 nm.
