The vessel with a steel FDHF hull was launched in Oss on 26 August 2025, and is currently at the final outfitting stage
Project Frida is the latest addition to the popular 55m Steel series, already featuring such superyachts as the Moskito, the Reliance, the Solemates and the Agnetha.
The superyacht’s overall length is 55 m, her beam is 9.6 m, the draft (half load) is 2.7 m, and the internal volume is about 760 GT.
Project Frida’s exterior was designed by Omega Architects. Its main highlight is the superstructure with a distinctive “shark tooth”, which adds power and a touch of aggressiveness to the yacht’s generally elegant appearance. Large expanses of glazing do not only define the superyacht’s exterior, but fill her interior spaces with natural light.
The interior spaces with a volume of 760 GT were designed by Luca Dini Design and Architecture. The owner’s full-beam apartment is located on the main deck. In addition to the bedroom, it features an office, a luxury bathroom finished in Calcite Blue and a private veranda.
There are four guest cabins below deck and one extra cabin on the bridge deck. The interior features mainly rich, warm shades of natural wengé wood.
“Frida’s interior is designed for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship and a connection to the sea. It’s a modern interpretation of classic yachting luxury. We are incredibly excited to work with the future owner to select the final decorative touches that will bring their personal vision to life, creating a truly bespoke and inviting home on the water," said Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture.
Project Frida’s sundeck is home to jacuzzi, a bar and several lounges. The sky lounge on the bridge deck connects seamlessly to an aft terrace for al fresco dining, while the beach club with a large swim platform provides an opportunity to relax right by the water.
Twin diesel Rolls-Royce MTU 8V engines of 1,000 kW each deliver a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a speed of 12 knots. Thanks to Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system the vessel is fully compliant with IMO Tier III requirements. While a system of stabilisers makes sure the guests are comfortable both at anchor and underway. The yacht also meets the highest commercial standards of the Large Yacht Code 3 (LY3).
“Project Frida is a truly unique offering in today's market. She is the only 55-metre steel yacht from a Northern European shipyard available for such a swift delivery. The opportunity for an owner to step in now, personalise the final details with Luca Dini’s team, and be cruising the Mediterranean next summer is exceptional”, said Jeroen van der Meer, Heesen’s CEO.
