The Turkish designers’ vision of 50-70-metre vessels is based on multilevel, yet laconic architecture that is not overloaded with details and prioritises aesthetics and functionality
The 50-metre project featuring a “refined minimalist” aesthetics stands out for sculptural shapes and large expanses of glazing. The windows are camouflaged with the help of a special paint, so as not to contrast with the whiteness of the sides.
The internal volume of 499 GT will allow the owner to enjoy the advantages of vessels under 500 GT. However, according to the studio designer, Yavuz Akyildiz, his creation offers “a level of interior and exterior space that exceeds expectations for its size”.
Three decks offer enought space both for socializing and private time: there will be two pools and several outdoor lounges on board. Light modern interior spaces can accommodate up to ten guests. There are five cabins: a master suite, two VIP cabins and two more guest cabins. There are also quarters for a crew of ten.
The yacht is meant for long cruises and is characterised as practical and manoeuvrable. She will be fitted with a conventional propulsion system capable of delivering a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 15.
The larger, 70-metre project, boasts a “strikingly futuristic silhouette” with clean horizontal lines and bold, military-style profile. At the same time, the fluid superstructure and unusual shape of the radar mast harmonise her appearance and make the yacht look like an art object. “Free from unnecessary ornamentation, the design derives its strength from deliberate simplicity, projecting a refined and confident identity," said Yavuz Akyildiz.
Among the exterior highlights there are circular pools both forward and aft, while the main surprise is the fold-down platforms that almost double the area of the beach club.
With a volume of 1,500 GT, there is comfortable accommodation for up to 12 guests across two master suites and four VIP ones, as well as quarters for a crew of 21.
The 70-metre vessel’s provisional top sped is 17 knots, the cruising speed is 14 knots.
Both Cass Yacht Design projects are presented as complete, still the designers promise a high level of customization and opportunity to tailor them to the owner’s lifestyle.
