The design of the Pilot from the new Van der Valk series offering a really high level of customization was developed by Cor D. Rover
According to the designer, one of the key goals was to create maximum 'real estate' and contemporary but elegant look. As a result, the Pilot 34 is a three-deck masculine-looking explorer with a lot of interesting exterior features. Raked windshield of the superstructure, numerous side windows of original shapes and air grills that remind one of car radiators, to name a few.
The yacht that was christened D.Rolli has internal volume of 295GT, which is really huge for a 34-metre boat, and two balconies that expand the space even more. One of them is in the owner’s suite on the main deck forward, and the other one is in the VIP cabin below deck. Besides there are two more guest cabins and three cabins for a crew of six.
The bathing platform is equipped with fold-down “wings”, too, which increase the usable area by the water. Although the yacht is an explorer, her exterior space is abundant. There is a beach area with a jacuzzi on the foredeck, an al fresco dining room in the aft cockpit and an aft terrace with a bar and a barbecue on the bridgedeck behind the pilothouse. A tender and water toys can be stored in a capacious garage.
The Pilot 34M with a fast displacement hull of aluminium is powered by twin MTU engines of 2000 hp each, which can deliver a top speed of 21.5 knots, while the electric fin stabilizers from CMC Marine ensure comfort both underway and at anchor.
