“Simena blends the elegance of a classic ketch with cutting-edge technology, designed for a true connoisseur”, said Piraye Sahinkaya Orhun, Yachts Projects Director at Ares Yachts.
The exterior and naval architecture of the vessel named after an ancient city in Turkish Antalya was penned by Turkish Taka Yacht Design.

The interiors come from British Design Unlimited: the Simena is its largest project to date.
The ketch’s rigging was designed by renowned Chris Mitchell. The main mast is 59.5 m, the mizzen one is 48.7 m. The area of the mainsail is 470 sq.m, the genoa is 597 sq.m, and the staysail is 356 sq.m.

The hybrid propulsion system delivers up to six knots under silent electric power, while with diesel engines of 882 kW (1183 hp) the yacht can reach a top speed of 14.5 knots. At a cruising speed of 11 knots the vessel has a range of 4000 nautical miles.

The superyacht was designed to RINA class C and offers versatile cruising capabilities suitable for any ocean, from warm and humid climates to regions with a temperature of minus five degrees Celsius.

The Simena offers luxurious accommodation for 12 guests. The showers feature patterned tiles and expensive Calacatta Oro and Patagonia White marbles. Walnut furniture, natural leather, antiqued brass accents refer to the marine traditions, while modern gadgets are concealed to maintain the classic, timeless look.
When the outfitting and the sea trials are complete, the Simena will head for Monte-Carlo for her official debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025.
