The results of the final stage did not only determine the strongest teams of the stage, but also the overall season champion. The results of the final races gave the participants double points in the overall standings and could change their position significantly.
No races could be held on the first day of the regatta, but on Saturday there was a stable wind of 6-7 knots. As a result of the day, Zecurion team won three races out of five. Russo Trans and Noôdome Sailing teams, each with one victory, were four points behind the leader, while Dertien ST team got close to the top three and was just three points behind the rivals.
Two final races of the season were held on Sunday with a wind of 5-7 knots. Russo Trans and Noôdome Sailing ended the day tied on points, but the victory in the final race tipped the scales in favour of Noôdome Sailing, who took home the silver medals in the final. Russo Trans got the bronze, while the victory in the final stage went to Zecurion team, which had four first-place finishes and none outside the top three.
The results of the final stage determined the medal count for the entire season. Gold in the final strengthened Zecurion's position: they became the new champions of the Sochi Winter Cup.
Noôdome Sailing and Dertien ST teams finished the series tied for points overall. The final stage determined the resulst of the series: the second place in the final round secured Noôdome Sailing team’s silver, while Dertien ST team finished third. Noôdome Sailing and Dertien ST finished the series with the same number of points in the overall standings.
