The shipyard does not hide the fact that the vessel was commissioned by World Superyacht Awards judge Steve Rigby
The Haze² is the successor of the 26.2-metre Haze by Extra Yachts (which is one of the Palumbo Superyachts brands). Steve Rigby made a decision to buy a new boat after he toured the Darwin model at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022.

“A seasoned sailor with both sailing and motor yachts in his past, the Owner had a clear vision of what his next yacht should be,” said Vasco Buonpensiere, CDM co-founder and CEO. “All Darwin models share the same ocean-going, expedition-ready DNA, yet each one is tailored to reflect its owner’s needs and lifestyle”.
The Haze² is the sixth unit in the Darwin 102 series named after the tireless naturalist, Charles Darwin. The steel displacement hull with an aluminium superstructure is Category A – Ocean. With a fuel capacity of 41 800 L and 6000 litres of fresh water, at a speed of 10 knots the yacht can cover 3 960 nautical miles and boasts a top speed of up to knots.
However, in accordance with the owner’s requests, some changes were made to the standard projects. Thus, this Darwin 106 features larger expanses of glazing and a concealed crane for tenders in the yard’s RJ line style.

With a length of 30.80 m and a beam of 7.43 m, the explorer is capable of accommodating 12 passengers. There are five guest suites, but two of them have pullman beds, which is definitely an advantage for families with children. There are three more cabins for a crew of six.
The interior features a calm, muted colour palette with accents of red and orange. For al fresco recreation the vessel offers a few “beach areas”, including the sunbathing area at the bow, the swim platform aft and the jacuzzi with sunbeds on the sundeck.
