The superyacht named KEΦI has been officially unveiled at the Taiwanese Horizon Yachts’ Open House in Kaohsiung
The yacht commissioned by the Australian owner, who had previously owned six Horizon yachts, was meant to be highly customized from the very beginning. According to the yard, this project made them reimagine the existing E Series, as the vessel proved to be sportier and better adjusted to the owner’s hobby, who is an “elite angler”.
That is why Amsterdam-based designer Cor D. Rover has not just created an elegant exterior for the boat, but added new functions like a live-bait well on the aft deck, a hydraulic swim platform and a multipurpose tender garage with custom rod holders.
The bow section is home to the sunbathing area with multifunctional folding sunpads, while the cockpit shaded with an electric retractable awning can serve as an al fresco dining or cooking area and is fitted with a teppanyaki grill, a BBQ and an ice maker.
There is a full-fledged galley and a marble dining table in the air-conditioned saloon, too.
The master suite and three guest cabins are below deck. The owner’s is traditionally located amidships, it features a private bathroom and a large TV, which allows one to turn the cabin into a cozy home cinema. There is a VIP cabin forward, while the other two guest cabins can be transformed both into twins (with two single beds) and doubles.
The yacht is powered by two MAN V12 of 2,000 hp, but her performance characteristics will be made public after the sea trials are over.
The name of the yacht, KEΦI, originated form the Greek word for a state of feeling good even when a person is exhausted, which is probably the owner’s idea of his time on board. The new vessel is scheduled for delivery in the nearest weeks.
