The Gulf Craft Nomad 101 combines a high level of comfort, expedition vessel capabilities and sustainability
The Nomad 101’s exterior and interior are owed to Phathom Studio based in the Netherlands. The vessel stands out for an open layout with full walkaround decks and abundance of natural light in the interior spaces.
With a length of 30.8 m, a beam of 7.4 m and a draft of 1.43 m, the yacht has three decks and a flybridge with a hard top. Her internal volume ranges from 195 to 215 GT, which allows one to offer comfortable accommodation for ten guests across five cabins and numerous interior and exterior lounge areas, both shaded and in the sun.
The interior style designed by Phathom Studio is described as “soft minimalist aesthetic”, featuring clean lines, materials that are pleasant to touch and a warm colour palette.
The choice of finishing materials was also guided by their sustainability and include non-toxic, bio-based lacquer, while all the surfaces that look like stone are of recycled composite materials.
“The interior of the new hull incorporates natural and renewable fibres including flax, hemp and bamboo, bio-based vegan leather, reclaimed wood flooring and carpets made from recycled fishing nets,” said Raquel H. Grijota, design partner at Phathom Studio.
The shipyard underscores the fact that the Nomad 101 model was created for long-range passages and different climates. Her provisional top speed is 19 knots. At a cruising speed of 12 knots the yacht will have a range of 1,000 nautical miles, while at the economy speed of 10 knots her range will be over 3,000 nautical miles.
At present, the vessel is at the final outfitting stage. After all the necessary trials that are scheduled to finish early in 2027, the Gulf Craft Nomad 101 will be delivered to her owner.
