The owner, who is an experienced yachtsman from the Middle East, wanted a a sub-500 GT yacht that could offer the volume, living areas and the level of comfort typically found on much larger vessels

Both the TX450’s exterior and interior were designed by renowned Italian Cassetta Yacht Designers, the naval architecture was entrusted to NAMES, and inNave in cooperation with Tankoa Technical Department were in charge of engineering. The owner took a very active part in the creation of the vessel, too.

According to the shipyard, all the changes to the Т450 were made in accordance with the way the owner intends to actually use the yacht.

As he needs a yacht for comfortable family travels, the TX450 features a unique layout with an additional deck, аs well as a gym and spa area for maintaining the lifestyle that they are used to while cruising.

In addition, as the owner intends to go on long-range cruises in different climates, the yacht is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system, comprising twin MAN D2862L engines, electric motors and high-capacity batteries. This kind of propulsion can deliver a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots, while at the economy speed of 10 knots the yacht can boast a range of 4,000 nautical miles. In the full-electric mode the vessel can cruise for a few hours silently and with zero emissions and remain at anchor overnight on battery power alone.

With a length of 45 m and a beam of 8.8 metres, a steel displacement hull and aluminium superstructure, the yacht’s internal volume is 499 GT.

The living areas on board the TX450 are designed with a strong emphasis on privacy and offer a high degree of customisation. The layout is unconventional: the upper deck is entirely dedicated to common lounge areas, a spa and a gym, while all the main guest cabins and the owner’s suite are located on the main deck.

The lower deck is home to all service areas and crew cabins for 8-9, a well-appointed galley, storage rooms and laundry facilities, as well as additional guest areas, including a convertible cabin that can be tailored to the owner's preferences: as a lounge, a playroom or an extra cabin. In total, the yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests.

After the technical launch, the TХ450 will move to the final outfitting stage, sea trials and technical testing. The delivery of the superyacht is scheduled for this November.
