The New World could see the F48 a bit earlier, at the São Paulo Boat Show and the Miami International Boat Show 2024. But for the European debut the shipyard arranged an exclusive event on Lake Iseo in Italy

The new model was inspired by her best-selling predecessor, the F47, a recent finalist in the Best Layout category at the Yacht Trophies Awards in Cannes. The F48 is three feet longer and features a few enhanced functions. According to Sessa Marine, “combining elegance, comfort and high performance, this new model promises to redefine luxury cruising experiences for European boating enthusiasts”.

The aft section upgrade seems most noticeable. The swim platform has become a lot larger, while in the cockpit protected from the sun by the flybridge overhang there is an L-shaped sofa and a folding table, allowing one to arrange a meal for six to eight people.

When the doors are open, the cockpit is united with the saloon that offers two layout options: with a galley on the portside and a sofa on the right, or a lounge to portside and a slightly larger galley on the starboard side.

The flybridge is home to another lounge area with a dining table, a bar, a stove, a sink and a fridge. The upper helm station is surrounded by sunbeds.

To get shelter from the sun and rain, there can be either a bimini tent or a T-top (as an option).

The yacht offers three guest cabins, including a master cabin with a double bed and two twin cabins. Further aft on the starboard side there is a space that can serve as a crew cabin or a storage space, in case the owner intends to handle the boat on their own.

The F48’s propulsion system has become more powerful, too: twin 550 hp Volvo IPS 700 allow her to reach a top speed of 35 knots (compared to 32 knots delivered by the F47).

As Débora Felipe, Marketing and Communications Director at Sessa Marine, put it,

“We aim to surprise and inspire with innovations that embody the nautical lifestyle through elegance and advanced technology. The F48’s European launch reflects Sessa’s commitment to offering truly unique onboard experiences.”
