The SDX series is Sea Ray’s latest model lineup, while the SDX 270 Surf model was first unveiled in the US in 2024
At the upcoming boot Düsseldorf in January the model will make her debut at the European market and launch European production of the boat.
Sea Ray brand belongs to American Brunswick corporation. Despite the downturn in 2024, CEO David Foulkes said that “Sea Ray businesses demonstrated exceptional retail performance at early boat shows with new models supporting market share gains.” In his turn, Keith Yunger, president of Sea Ray, added, that as the popularity of wake surfing continues to grow, the company is pleased to use the spotlight of Düsseldorf to highlight the entrance into surf boat production in Europe.
The SDX 270 Surf is equipped with Sea Ray’s intuitive NextWave surf system that generates repeatable, rideable waves for wakesurfing and other watersports. The boat is also equipped with a Sea Ray custom surf interface powered by Mercury Smart Tow offering three pre-set modes: for surfing, wakeboarding and skiing/tubing. Boaters can use the visual display to adjust the settings with the touch of a button to accommodate riders of all skill levels.
The SDX 270 Surf model features built-in storage, coolers, convertible seating and a head. The addition of a bow thruster enhances the boat’s maneuverability and ensures smooth and effortless docking.
Along with the SDX 270 Surf, the Sea Ray booth in Düsseldorf will showcase the entire linup of the brand’s powerboats and cruisers.
