The Cerulean was launched early in the summer at the Ferretti Group’s facility in Ancona, and it took the yard a few months to complete her final outfitting, sea trials and technical systems testing
Construction on the superyacht with a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and internal volume of 1,100 GT started in 2023. In addition to CRN and Ferretti Group, Dutch Vripack and Italian Nauta Design were also involved in the project. Vripack was in charge of the exterior design, preliminary naval architecture and general arrangement, while Nauta Design worked on exterior and interior living spaces.
The yacht’s classic exterior with an elongated bow section and traditional blue and white finish with a red band along the waterline was inspired by classic sailing yachts. However, the Cerulean’s appearance should not be misleading: the owner wanted a technically advanced, seaworthy vessel. As a result, one of the Cerulean’s technical features is her Energy Storage System designed to manage onboard energy flows, peak-shaving functionality and silent operation at anchor, which contributes to much lower fuel consumption.
The four-deck Cerulean offers both indoor and outdoor lounging and socialising areas, as well as six cabins including a master suite and five VIP cabins. There are nine more cabins for a crew of 15.
The details about the yacht’s interior design are currently kept under wraps, except for the fact that it combines traditional and contemporary aesthetics and is closely connected with maritime culture. The owner was actively involved in the choice of finishes, all technical details and space arrangement, so they are truly personalised and functional.
Twin MAN V12 engines of 1,213 kW each can deliver a top speed of up to 15.5 knots and a cruisng speed of 12 knots.
“The construction and design features, combined with the ability to listen and give shape to every possible vision, represent the distinctive value of CRN. Cerulean is a fully custom construction, a unique and distinctive superyacht infused with the unmistakable essence of her owner,” explains the yard.
