The yacht has left the shipyard and set off on her maiden voyage to Gibraltar
Amels, which is part of Dutch Damen Yachting, started construction on the Pangea in March 2022 on spec. Shortly afterwards, she was sold to the owner, who made some changes to the project. The delivery was scheduled for the summer of 2025, but took place just now.
The shipyard refers to the yacht as no less than “a masterpiece of advanced technology, craftsmanship, and deep connection to the sea”. It also underscores the fact that thanks to the use of a proven technical platform the construction takes considerably less time, while still giving the owner a choice of layouts, outfitting and definitely interiors.
Just like the entire Limited Editions series, the Pangea’s exterior is owed to Espen Øino International, while the architecture and engineering come from Damen Yachting inhouse teams.
The yacht with a steel hull (with a beam of 12.5 m) and aluminium superstructure has an internal volume of 2,175 GT and can accommodate 14 guests across seven cabins, as well as a crew of 24.
The vessel features a sundeck of 200 sq.m, a 6.5-metre pool with see-through inserts and a beach club of 150 sq.m offering a spa, a sauna, a hammam, a gym and a massage room. One of the brightest design elements on board is the glass transom door, which can fold into the teak swim platform. There is a private owner’s deck with a jacuzzi, too.
The interior created by Dutch Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, features a modern style with mainly beige, honey and golden shades. However, the yard has not revealed more details, as the vessel is not meant for charter.
With twin Caterpillar engines of 2,816 hp, the Pangea boasts a top speed of 16.5 knots. Her cruising speed is 12 knots, and the range is 5,000 nautical miles.
