The first unit in Atlantique series was delivered late in June. The yacht was christened Night Fury II and she is the one that is most likely to premiere at the Cannes Festival this autumn
Columbus Atlantique 43 can boast a robust steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, as well as exterior and interior spaces designed by Hot Lab studio. The naval architecture and engineering were developed in-house in collaboration with Hydro Tec.
According to Hot Lab, the superyacht fully reflects its design philosophy, “Architecture for Voyagers“, which means “a combination of stylistic, design and functional elements dedicated to traveling by sea, to fully enjoy every single moment on board”.
Just like the top part of the superstructure and the decks’ overhangs, the stern section of Atlantique 43 features sailboat style and its sleek lines. In the centre of the beach club there is a pool with a C-shaped sofa that may transform into a large sunpad. The transom is very low above the water, and the fold-out side platforms extend the beach area, which is just 50 cm above the sea, quite considerably.
The beam of this 43-metre yacht is 9.10 m, which allowed for rather a large internal volume of 462 GT.
There are four cabins below deck: two ensuite VIPs and two twins. The crew quarters are located forward, including a crew mess and a laundry. The captain’s cabin has been raised onto the upper deck, closer to the helm station.
In addition to the saloon divided into a lounge and a dining area, the main deck is also home to a full-beam master suite located forward. Apart from the beach club mentioned above, there is also an open bar aft, as well as a cozy lounge with tables, couches and armchairs.
The upper deck is home to generous al fresco lounging areas: one of them is on the foredeck with sun loungers around the pool, sofas and a table. The other one is aft: there can be a dining area or a lounge with free-standing furniture.
The only interior space on this level is a multifunctional upper saloon, which can serve as a cinema, a game room or a lounge.
The aft garage on the starboard side can accommodate a tender of up to 5.5 m, and there is an additional garage for the second tender and two jet skis on the main deck forward.
With twin Cat C32 Acert engines of 970 kW each (1319 hp), Atlantique 43 can reach a top speed of 15.5 knots and has a cruising speed of 14.5 knots.
