The GTX70 will be the entry model in the family of sportbridge yachts, currently including the GTX80 and GTX116 models
Italian shipbuilders report that despite her compact size, the third model in the family of Sport Utility Yachts will inherit all the innovations and a high level of comfort typical of her elder sisters. Generous exterior areas on the main deck can easily be extended with the help of interior ones and the other way around, forming a single space that ensures permanent contact with the sea.
According to the shipyard, compared with other models of the same size, Pershing GTX70 boasts 30% more exterior areas and 10% more interior spaces. But this information will certainly have to be confirmed, after the first unit of the model is unveiled.
The appearance of the GTX70 was made possible thanks to close collaboration between the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari, Vallicelli Design studio and the Group’s engineering and production teams.
The exterior of the boat is sporty and dynamic, with an almost vertical bow and sleek, clean lines reminiscent of sporty sailing boats.
Just like the previous models, the yacht has two fold-out terraces aft, which transform the area of the beach club and make the time by the water even more comfortable. The area of 23 sq.m (with the terraces open) is home to a large sunpad integrated into the structure of the transom, as well as a lounge or a dining area in the cockpit located on the portside in the shade of the sportbridge’s overhang.
The galley on the main deck aft can serve both the cockpit with the beach club and the interior saloon with two L-shaped sofas standing opposite each other. On the podium there is a double helm.
Compared to earlier Pershing models, speed seems to have lost its primary importance for the GTX70, as her cruising speed is “only” 30 knots, while the top speed (based on prelimionary data) is under 35 knots. At least these are the characteristics the model is capable of delivering with triple 900 hp Volvo Penta D13 IPS1200 engines.
Below deck, the GTX70 offers her guests three ensuite cabins, including a master suite. The yard did its best to make these spaces as generous as possible, but the yacht’s compact size does impose some restrictions. Nevertheless, the shipbuilders managed to find a place for a small but well-equipped laundry.
The sportbridge has the area of 16 sq.m. and is home to a sunpad, a dining area and an upper helm. If necessary, the upper level can be shaded with an electrically operated bimini.
According to the shipyard, the yacht will have CE Class A certification, but the date of the official premiere has not been announced yet. We are looking forward.
