The designers of the model focused on aerodynamics and speed, so the AB 110S’s exterior obviously draws on automotive design and promises a top speed of up to 48 knots

The model is the result of the first collaboration of Italian AB Yachts yard (Next Yacht Group brand) and a Turin-based expert in industrial design studio, EXE Design, with yachts, cars and industrial products in its portfolio. Thanks to such broad cross-sectoral experience the partners brought new ideas and new vision to the AB 110S concept.

“This project was born from the fusion of automotive design language developed to highlight the performance of the Sport version and an in-depth understanding of the technical and functional requirements of yachting,” said Stefano Bedoni, EXE Design’s co-founder. “This cross-sector approach is the real added value of our work”.

With three engines and two water jets, the AB 110S can reach a top speed of about 48 knots

The motor yacht with a length of 33.7 m and a beam of 6.8 m stands out for her compact profile with a raked-back windshield and sculptural elements and looks impressive both at anchor and underway.

However, this sporty model’s signature feature is the retractable hardtop. To be more precise, it is mobile and can slide over the flybridge, providing shade to the aft section, the helm station in the centre or to the lounge at the bow.

The hardtop can remain extended both at anchor and underway. However, to ensure perfect aerodynamics, it can be stowed flush over the sunpad forward, making the rather large vessel look like a speedboat. And it’s not only about the look: with three MAN V12X-2200 engines and two steerable waterjets the AB 110S’s top speed reaches 48 knots.

The yacht can accommodate eight guests across four cabins below deck, as well as a crew of two. As the priority is still outdoor recreation, there are a few “welcoming” areas on the open decks. One can have breakfast at the bow on a C-shaped sofa with a coffee table, or sunbathe on the raised sunbed with panoramic views that the manufacturer refers to as a “flying couch”.

There are areas both for sunbathing and evening get-togethers on the main deck aft, too. Thus, the seating group in the cockpit features a bar unit, which is a centre of “visual and functional flow”, as it сan serve both the interior and exterior spaces. Even the swim platform has a sofa, where one can sunbathe or admire the sunset.
